David “Duke” Vinson earned two Bachelor of Arts Degrees, the first specializing in Business Marketing and the second in Business Management. He also received a Masters of Arts in Human Relations, which was the foundation and catalyst for the Master’s Degrees in Addiction Counseling and Professional Counseling.
Duke has worked for over twenty years as a business professional where he gained extensive sales and sales management experience nationally and internationally. In addition to his business experience, he has an addiction counseling background, offering therapy to individuals and families from diverse backgrounds. This combination provides unique perspectives into the needs of those seeking treatment for chemical dependency.
Duke is currently a Georgia Licensed Professional Counselor. His credentials include National Certified Counselor through the National Board of Certified Counselors, State and International Certification as a Certified Clinical Advanced Alcohol and Drug Addictions Counselor, as well as International and State Certification as a Certified Co-Occurring Disorders Professional Diplomate. He is also a Certified Clinical Supervisor for Addiction Certification and a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor. Duke also has the credential of a Substance Abuse Professional governed by the Department of Transportation. He joined the Talbott Recovery Columbus team as an Evening Program Case Manager in late 2012 and was subsequently named as the Director of Business Development for Talbott Recovery in December 2012.
