Located In a convenient and private
setting, TALBOTT Dunwoody Day and Evening
Intensive Outpatient
Programs (IOP) offer a
comprehensive range of
services through a 30-day
(5 days per week/3 hours
per day) treatment
program for alcohol addiction recovery and outpatient drug treatment and dual diagnosis issues. TALBOTT Dunwoody IOP provides
12-Step based treatment
to those 18 and older, addressing both substance
abuse disorders and dual
diagnosis. Our treatment
philosophy and practices
are based on more than 35
years of highly successful
and effective treatment
experience of founder,
Douglas Talbott, M.D. and
the programs developed in
our traditional 90-day
program at the Talbott
Recovery Campus in
Atlanta.
Program Content:
Each patient receives an individualized
treatment plan designed to address issues
specific to them. Some examples of daily
skills training topics are: managing cravings
and triggers, drug refusal skills, anger
management, effective communication, and
relapse prevention. Group therapy facilitates
patients’ ability to process painful emotions
related to life events and using behaviors
with the support of peers and trained
clinical staff.
Candidates for our program:
TALBOTT’s IOP is for people
struggling with substance abuse disorders
who need to continue working while in
treatment, or otherwise have extenuating
circumstances prohibiting them from
attending a day treatment program.
What if intensive outpatient drug treatment & alcohol recovery programs are not enough?
TALBOTT Dunwoody also offers a
Day Treatment Program (PHP) which can provide
a higher level of care for patients who are
unable to maintain abstinence at an IOP
level of care. The TALBOTT programs are
designed to facilitate seamless transition
between programs when clinically indicated.
Multiple programs and levels of care enable
us to meet the patient at their level of need.
Staff:
TALBOTT’s IOP is facilitated
by licensed master’s level therapists and medical
doctors with expertise in treating addiction
and associated psychological problems.

TALBOTT Dunwoody is a tastefully
designed and decorated facility tucked away in a
wooded setting just a few blocks north of
I-285. We are easily accessed from either
the Shallowford Road or North Peachtree
Road exits off I-285.
