Carol Bowers is a TRC veteran in her second tour of duty. From 1984 to 2000 she was the Director of the Professionals Program assisting Dr. Talbott in the planning and development of the Professionals Program at TRC. In 2000 she moved to Nevada after accepting the position of Executive Director of the Nevada Health Professional Assistance Foundation and was in charge of the Physicians Health Program for the state. In 2004, Carol decided that Georgia was home and she rejoined TRC as Director of Alumni Services. She has written numerous articles on addiction and co-authored a chapter in the textbook: Addiction in the Nursing Profession. Carol has appeared on Good Morning America, Nightline, CNN and local Atlanta news programs.
